Texas House bill promises a revamped version of economic development tool | Opinion
As the ninth largest economy in the world, Texas is well-positioned to remain formidable, but the state needs to make continued efforts to ensure that our competitive edge lasts for years to come. Maintaining an environment conducive for businesses and their employees means greater economic wins, attraction and retention of a diverse talent pool, new innovative technologies and a stronger tax base.
Continued success in recruiting businesses means we need all the tools in the economic development toolkit to compete. Local governments, including school districts, must have the resources to recruit new businesses to their communities.
