AUSTIN, Texas — Gov. Greg Abbott has issued a new executive order directing law enforcement to return undocumented people to the border.
Abbott said his new directive comes after the Biden Administration ended both Title 42 expulsions and the Remain-in-Mexico policy. However, National Guard members have since reported delayed payments for soldiers, poor living conditions, and critical equipment shortages."You know, I think that this is definitely a $3 billion campaign ad," Retired Command Sergeant Major Jason Featherston said about the upcoming November elections.
The U.S. Department of Justice is currently investigating the latter for alleged civil rights violations, rights that have been protected by law since 1964.
