The likelihood of rain will see a sharp increase Thursday with a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m., lasting into the night. Houstonians may want to think twice about that walk in the park Friday, too, with the chance of precipitation as high as 60 percent. Showers will be likely and possibly a thunderstorm will hit after 2 p.m.

Sunday will see similar conditions during the day, sticking at 40 percent precipitation, but will drop to 20 percent at night. Then Monday will jump back to a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms.
