This lightweight jacket’s stretchy fabric makes it super comfortable. The seam-sealed and well-ventilated shell kept us dry in light rains but also prevented us from getting too steamy during hard efforts. There are a few nice details that make this jacket even more lovable: Elastic cuffs keep out water, and thumb loops help the sleeves stay in place and merge seamlessly with gloves on crisp, early morning runs.
One of the most breathable jackets we tested, the Caldorado has long vents on the sides to release hot air as you run. If having holes in your rain jacket sounds like a bad idea, don’t worry—they are tucked away below the arms and angled to keep out water. We were skeptical, too, but the lightweight jacket held up in our shower test. It’s a great option for runners who want a high-mileage jacket that won’t broil them on warmer days.
