The Mustang markups have arrived as some dealers are adding thousands of dollars onto the purchase price of the redesigned pony car
as South Carolina’s Classic Ford of Columbia has a Mustang GT Premium listed for $61,250 despite wearing an MSRP of $58,750. Things are slightly better in Texas as Rockwall Ford is asking $58,313 for a $57,215 Mustang GT.
Thankfully, a number of dealers seem to be selling cars for their sticker price or are at least smart enough not to advertise huge markups online. In particular, Performance Ford of East Hanover, New Jersey has their $71,705 Mustang Dark Horse listed for $71,705. Indiana’sWhile those are just a few examples, they should serve as a reminder to shop around as it could save you $10,000 or more.
