Sophistication reigned supreme this week.
With Paris Fashion Week coming to a close this coming week, stars wasted no time delivering a few final showstopping outfits. Celebrities hit the City of Light in looks that were all about modern elegance—be it a fresh tailored suit for day, or a sophisticated gown for night. Uniting all of the best ensembles of the week? Fun and unexpected plays on classic silhouettes.
At the Schiaparelli show, for one, Kylie Jenner stepped out in the label’s slinky and sparkly tank dress, which was punctuated with a keyhole cutout at the bust. Surreal! Sister Kendall Jenner also embraced a strong shape via Bottega Veneta’s brown wool coat dress while out for dinner in the city, finished with a thick leather waisted corset and high leg slit. Actor Zoe Kravitz sported Saint Laurent’s draped polka dot dress at the show that had an extremely mini hemline.
There were clever takes on suiting this week, too. At the Albies in New York, Jodie Turner-Smith slipped into Balmain’s off-the-shoulder tuxedo gown, complete with built-in opera gloves. At the Marni show in Paris, Issa Rae rocked Marni’s bright yellow tuxedo coat, worn as a dress. At The Row, meanwhile, Pamela Anderson went more discreet in a double-breasted suit and long overcoat.
