The Chase star Shaun Wallace has opened up about the success of the ITV show, and his relationship with his fellow Chasers, including Mark Labbett
Shaun Wallace, also known as The Dark Destroyer from ITV's The Chase , reflected on laying down the law with fellow quiz master Mark Labbett when they started working together on the hit show. Back in the day, Shaun, who balanced his TV gigs while being a barrister, and Mark were the original brainiacs tackling contestants in 2009, before other Chasers like Anne Hegerty and Paul Sinha joined the squad.
On The Hearing podcast, Shaun shared some behind-the-scenes gold, revealing: "When Mark came along I said to him, 'look, in order for this show to work, we've got to respect each other's opinions. I'm not interested in if you're better than me as a quizzer, I'm not interested. We've got to work and respect each other' and that has been the key ingredient I suppose.
Shaun also credits the dynamism between the Chasers and host Bradley Walsh for the show's success. He shared: "I think you have a wonderful host in Bradley Walsh, he's witty and he's spontaneous with his ad-libs."
