Definitely a lot of office products. Cord organization, desktop desks, desk risers. And those overhangs that we have for doors, for your pantry, for your shoes.
If you come into a Container Store, maybe you’re new to organization. We have to be able to break it down for you, narrow down choices so you don’t have cognitive meltdown. You have to really take the time to understand what a customer is looking for, or it doesn’t take.Not any more than an average person. I’d be a big hoarder. I’d go toand buy one of those packets of batteries.
Before, we didn’t even have a label maker. Now we label everything so we actually know what’s in boxes. We also had a big eye-opener in terms of Lazy Susans, and how great they are for drinks, or spice bottles. I wanted the printer to be hidden but accessible, so they put glass doors in. I didn’t want a lot of office material out.
When it comes to organization, it’s the same thing. Once it’s set up, can I at least organize my desk before I leave? Absolutely. It’s like, “OK, I can carve out 20 minutes.” It’s the small things that make a routine. Do you make your bed in the morning?Let me tell you, just try it. Make your bed for 21 days. There is nothing more exciting than when you walk into your room and see your bed made.
