The head of a family-run 'unscrupulous' meet and greet business is amongst those who have been jailed in Greater Manchester this week.
William Thompson, along with five other unknown men, followed the victim in a BMW van before punching and kicking him in the street in Bury. However, after handing over the keys to the company, many were lost, stolen or found damaged in a muddy field upon their return, Manchester Crown Court heard. Marius Tartar died after being hit by a car on Hollin Lane in Middleton at around 9.10pm on October 31, 2021. The 35-year-old was out walking his dog to a local shop, police said.
Burglar climbed into woman's home, grabbed a knife, raped her then made her withdraw cash from ATM in horrific attack A depraved monster broke into a young woman's flat as she slept before brutally raping her at knifepoint. Courtney Adams clambered in through the window of her city centre apartment before arming himself with a blade from the kitchen.
The 24-year-old fled the scene with his partner while paramedics treated his victims. Callous Moss then returned to his car moments later to retrieve his suitcases before jetting off on a two-week holiday. He was sentenced at Manchester Crown Court to three years and two months in prison after pleading guilty to two counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, driving with no insurance, driving otherwise in accordance with a licence, failing to report a road traffic collision and failing to remain at the scene of a road traffic collision. He will serve half of the sentence in custody and the remaining half on licence.
