After dealing with Ra’s al Ghul , Carmine Falcone , and Jonathan Crane/Scarecrow in Batman Begins, the Caped Crusader met two very different villains in The Dark Knight.

The League of Shadows returned in The Dark Knight Rises, which continued Ra’s al Ghul’s legacy with the introduction of his daughter, Talia al Ghul , and Bane . Talia became the leader of the League after her father’s death, and with Bane’s help, she set out to fulfill her father’s mission of bringing balance by destroying Gotham.
The Dark Knight Is Better Without The League Of Shadows While the League of Shadows was key in Bruce’s training and transformation into Batman, and their ideas about balance are dangerous and scary enough to make them believable villains in Nolan’s Batman universe, The Dark Knight is better without its presence. The Joker is not a character who works with others – surely, he uses others in his plans, but he’s not the type to make alliances .
On the other hand, Harvey Dent’s goal was to eliminate Gotham’s organized crime and do it the right way, with the help of Gordon and the Gotham City Police Department. Dent was so committed to this that he publicly claimed to be Batman in order to lure out the Joker, but after Rachel Dawes’ death and having half his face burned, the Joker convinced him to take justice into his own hands, and so Dent began killing the corrupt officers and the mafia who contributed to Rachel’s death.
