Lashana Lynch has joined The Day of the Jackal cast for Peacock's upcoming thriller drama starring Eddie Redmayne.
cast for Peacock’s upcoming series adaptation of Frederick Forsyth’s seminal thriller of the same name. Production is expected to begin sometime this year.
Lynch is set to portray the role of Bianca, a tenacious law enforcement agent who’s determined to catch a notorious assassin named The Jackal, played by Oscar winner. After making her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut as Maria Rambeau, Lynch continued appearing in a number of high-profile features including No Time to Die, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, The Woman King, and Matilda the Musical.
The Day of the Jackal will be written by showrunner Ronan Bennett . Game of Thrones’ Brian Kirk attached to direct. In addition to starring, Redmayne has also boarded the project as an executive producer. Production is expected to begin sometime this year. The adaptation will be executive produced by Gareth Neame, Nigel Marchant, and Sam Hoyle. It is produced by Carnival Films and Sky Studios, with Forsyth set as a consulting producer and Christopher Hall to produce.Maggie Dela Paz has been writing about the movie and TV industry for more than four years now.
