Anyone know a spell to bring them back?
The movies were a big launch title for HBO Max when it first launched back in May. Along with the original eight movies, the spin-off series, creator and author, J.K. Rowling, has been under fire for her recent anti-transgender Tweets. However, WarnerMedia, which owns the streaming rights for the movies, notes that the films were set to be removed long before the controversy started.
Fans who are hoping to watch all the films before they are removed still have a bit more time left to enjoy them as the movies won't be leaving until August 25. Warner Bros. recently made a deal to allow the films to air on NBC and Syfy, which is owned by NBCUniversal. The company recently launched Peacock, which makes it seem like a possible home for the movies as they also included the digital rights to the films,
previously reported. Peacock has yet to announce whether or not the films will be moving over to their service.Harry Potter: The Complete 8-Film Collection
