Tafari Smith, Yousef Sesay and Lewis Ludford were found guilty of murder
These are the faces of the teen killers jailed following the murder of Kyle Hackland. Kyle, 17, was stabbed to death in broad daylight after being caught in the wrong place at the wrong time.

After leaving Kyle to die in a driveway on Southlea Road, at about 11.30am on November 22 last year, the four, some of who claimed to be Kyle’s friend, arranged to be 'taken into hiding'.
While Benson, of Wellington Road North, Stockport, was sentenced to 12 years in prison. A judge hit out at the four when he locked them up. "Friends do not behave as you did, attacking him, stabbing him in the back and leaving him bleeding and dying on the pavement.” The judge also warned of the ‘terrible consequences’ of knife crime as ‘yet again’ another young life was lost.
During their sentencing hearing, Kyle's mother Emma Gormley paid tribute to her son, who she described as her 'best friend'. She said: "On November 22, 2022, I received a phone call that changed my life forever. Our lives are shattered and will never be the same again.
