Hayston Golf Club in Kirkintilloch has been named as serving up the best fish tea in the whole of Scotland — with one special Glasgow ingredient in their batter.
The Scottish Fish and Chip Awards 2024 recently unveiled their winners, with takeaways and restaurants across the country taking home prizes. The award for Best Fish Tea went to Hayston Golf Club in Kirkintilloch .
Hayston Golf Club is now set to attract visitors eager to sample its award-winning chippy dish. The unique offering includes a special Glasgow twist — batter infused with Tennent's lager. Priced at £25 for two, the dish features freshly beer-battered Scottish haddock accompanied by chips. It also comes with house-made tartare sauce, a wedge of lemon, and of course bread and butter.
