It had been Eid and families on East Street, Bury , were enjoying the last of the festivities. But as the celebrations drew to a close, a howl of terror pierced the air. Moments later, a woman ran into the street engulfed in flames. Frantic neighbours surrounded her and hit her with pillows and cushions. As the woman fell to the kerb, they threw pots and pans of water over her head. Tragically their efforts were in vain. Sarah Hussain, 31, suffered horrific burns to her body.
Videos examining the weird and wonderful mall - from its New Orleans-themed Wetherspoons, a Pizza Hut in an Egyptian tomb and a main food hall that’s themed like a giant cruise ship under the stars - are creating a stir on TikTok and have been attracting comments from across the world. They include content creator Alex Fisher, 28, from Bolton , whose ‘study’ of the ‘vibey as hell’ shopping centre has been viewed half a million times.
