Din Djarin trains with Luke Skywalker in a new The Book of Boba Fett fan-art. The Mandalorian star made his surprising small-screen return via the ongoing Star Wars/Disney+ show. This catches up fans with what he's been up to since The Mandalorian season 2 finale, which saw him become the official wielder of the mythical Darksaber.
After spending two full seasons playing foster father to Grogu, Din is revealed to be back to his old bounty-hunting ways during the events of The Book of Boba Fett episode 5. His Beskar spear had been a great help in his missions, but since he forfeits it to fashion armor for Grogu, the Darksaber is the most interesting weapon in his possession. It's clear, however, that he isn't adept at using the black-bladed laser sword just yet.
Lucasfilm is clearly invested in improving the CGI for de-aged Luke, which is an indication that they are planning to continue using him, at least in the Star Wars TV space. So, whether the idea that he train Din Djarin to use the Darksaber comes to fruition or not, it's almost certain the legendary Jedi will make another appearance, most likely in The Mandalorian season 3.
