(WATCH) ‘The Nature Of Love’ Director & Star On The Beauty And Intensity Of Falling In Love – Cannes Studio
The nature of love is the story of Sophia, a philosophy professor who’s turning 40. She’s been with her partner for 10 years, they have a good social life and a good relationship, but when the couple buy a house in the country, Sophia falls for the construction worker in charge of fixing up the property.“The script was so very funny.
It’s obviously a comedy, but Monia didn’t direct us that way. We worked on a very serious level. The characters aren’t aware that they’re actually in a comedy, and when you fall in love, there is something so beautiful but also a little bit pathetic about the intensity of everything. And so the comedy emerged from the rhythm, the writing and the situations.”

Climate-driven variation in dispersal ability predicts responses to forest fragmentation in birds - Nature Ecology & EvolutionField survey data from 1,034 bird species worldwide are used to show that species’ sensitivities to habitat fragmentation are more strongly related to their dispersal ability than to latitude and past habitat disturbance, and that variation in dispersal ability is in turn strongly associated with climate.
