Expect to see these designs all over your Instagram feed
One of the things we've enjoyed about lockdown is having the time to get creative in the kitchen by experimenting with new dishes and putting twists on old favourites. So much so that we're already planning family and friends get-togethers around our dinner table again when lockdown is lifted – and that means we're looking to upgrade our kitchenware.
Turns out we won't need to shop around too much, because one of our favourite cooks and food writers Skye McAlpine has teamed up with high street homeware hero to create a range of covetable and affordable crockery, serving dishes, sharing platters and cake stands that are sure to become post-lockdown favourites.Available from next month, Skye's designs are inspired by her love of both Venice and London, with a mix of Italian influences and traditional pottery techniques, as well as taking inspiration from pieces of English antique fine china.
'The plates, dishes and glasses I use day to day are mostly vintage pieces that I’ve collected together over the years, nothing matches, but once laid out all together on the table it works beautifully... There are fe w greater pleasures in life than to sit with friends and family round the dining table and enjoy a good meal together. In these strange times, that is perhaps what I long for…and look forward to the most.' We couldn't agree more.
