Danny Dyer is part of a campaign near and dear to him EastEnders legend Danny Dyer is urging the government to give ‘Pie’n’Mash’ the respect it deserves. In a new campaign addressed to Steve Barclay, DEFRA Secretary of State, the Mick Carter actor, 46, is seen on a war poster with the caption reading: ‘Your Pie’n’Mash needs YOU.’ Campaign creator Andy Green wrote: ‘It’s time we stood up and talked with pride about our traditional food – and there’s nothing more Cockney than Pie’n’Mash.
Great marketing Danny played Mick Carter on the soap Danny’s EastEnders character, the much loved Mick Carter, went missing at sea on Christmas Day 2022 and has since been presumed dead, following almost ten years of dramatic and hard hitting storylines. Over the years, Mick learnt that his sister Shirley Carter was actually his mother, married the love of his life Linda Carter , subsequently got divorced and then married Janine Butcher .
