The Porsche 911 GT3 RS Tribute to Carrera RS costs $314,000.
That represents a near-$50,000 up-charge over a similarly equipped 911 GT3 RS. The Tribute to Carrera RS Package includes the weight-saving Weissach Package, normally a $33,520 upgrade that itself requires a $4730 for a leather interior package, and black brake calipers, a $900 option. Note that a no-options GT3 RS is $225,520.
Unique to the Tribute package is"GT3 RS" script along the door and other exterior accents and logos in Python Green. That color carries into an interior that also has unique"Tribute to Carrera RS" door sills and an RS logo embossed into the center console. You also get a matching Porsche Design watch, 1:43 scale models of the original Carrera RS and the new car, and some sort of NFT because those are still, somehow, a thing.
The Python green accents reference perhaps the most famous livery of the original Carrera RS—Lizard green over white. Many other color combinations were offered for the 1973 Carrera RS, but Porsche GT department head Andreas Preuninger told us a few months back that he had a poster of a green-over-white RS growing up.
This Tribute to Carrera RS package will only be offered to U.S. customers, with the option available to anyone with a model-year 2023 GT3 RS allocation. The price is, of course, crazy, but given the values of both Porsche GT cars and special editions at the moment, we suspect many buyers will check the proverbial box. Frankly, I can't blame for Porsche wanting the money people are willing to spend on its cars to go to itself, rather than third parties.
