One of Her Majesty's closest aides has confirmed that she breaks in the Queen's hardiest footwear
has staff to wear in her shoes, but her official dressmaker has now confirmed it. In one of the nicer perks of being a royal, it transpires that Her Majesty employs an assistant to break in new footwear so she doesn't have to bother doing so herself.The Other Side of the Coin: The Queen, The Dresser and the Wardrobe that the issue comes down to saving time and that she is the"flunky" that obliges.
"The Queen has very little time to herself and not time to wear in her own shoes, and as we share the same shoe size it makes the most sense this way," she said in an extract published byKelly, who has worked for the Queen since 2002, also talked about her boss' decision to appear in a Bond skit alongside Daniel Craig for the London 2012 Olympics. She apparently considered the role for"five minutes" before accepting.
"She was very amused by the idea and agreed immediately," recalled Kelly."I asked then if she would like a speaking part. Without hesitation, Her Majesty replied: 'Of course I must say something. After all, he is coming to rescue me.'"
