Fans paid tribute to legendary actor Bernard Hill
Viewers of The Responder were emotional as the BBC paid tribute to acting legend Bernard Hill before tonight's episode.
In tonight's episode, fans were introduced to Chris's dad, who is played by acting legend, Bernard Hill. Tributes have flooded in today after it was confirmed the acting great had died aged 79. The BBC announcement before tonight's season premiere addressed the sad update, stating : "Now, with the brilliant actor Bernard Hill, who sadly passed away today. The new series of The Responder with very strong language and some scenes some you might find upsetting from the start."
Fans following the show on social media platform X paid tribute to the actor's incredible legacy. Andrew said: "Today of all days that “and Bernard Hill” in the titles is terribly sad to see. What an incredible actor."
