The pop duo will perform at the Indio casino on Friday, Jan. 19.
Despite their success, the two split in 1968, and both Medley and Hatfield pursued solo careers. During his solo career, Medley released hits like “Peace, Brother, Peace” and “Brown-Eyed Woman.” In 1974, Medley and Hatfield reunited under The Righteous Brothers until 1981, but resumed touring intermittently in 1983.
Medley still performed solo during the time and released a duet with Jennifer Warnes, “The Time of My Life,” from the movie “Dirty Dancing,” which earned them a Grammy award for best pop performance by a duo or group with vocals. In 2003, Hatfield died, and it wasn’t until 2016 that Medley teamed up with Bucky Heard to revive the project. The current iteration of the group continues to play classic hits such as “Unchained Melody,” “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’” and their rendition of “Unchained Melody.”
