With October finally upon us, it is safe to say we have officially entered the peak season for spooky goings-on.
From a headless horseman riding in a Moray glen to an unexplained floating 'devil' stone in Clackmannanshire, the supernatural events said to occur this October in Scotland certainly don't disappoint. The battle, between Protestant forces loyal to King James VI of Scotland and Catholic forces commanded by the Earls of Huntly and Errol, ultimately ended in a decisive victory for the latter.
Legend tells that there is also a ghostly carriage that is pulled by a single horse that haunts the driveway, while supernatural goings-on have also been reported in the library.
