This Olympics should not have happened. I watched some of it because a)this is not the fault of the athletes, b)the IOC has been evil forever and this doesn’t change the fact that the athletes are pretty damn impressive, and c)I like the Olympics. But from my understanding of things, Tokyo was contractually obligated to hold the Olympics unless the IOC pulled the plug .
While we’re at it, I would have loved some commentary on the fact that there are more runners fucked over by the “hey, let’s exclude Caster Semenya” rules regarding naturally high testosterone in women.
