'The Obama administration's policies toward Cuba have enabled the Cuban colonization of Venezuela today.'
FILE - In this Feb. 18, 2019, file photo, national security adviser John Bolton speaks to the Venezuelan American community in Miami. The Trump administration is poised to step up pressure on Cuba by allowing lawsuits against foreign companies doing business in properties seized from Americans after the island’s 1959 revolution. The move marks a change in more than two decades of U.S. policy on Cuba.
National Security Adviser John Bolton said the changes are meant to reverse"the disastrous Obama-era policies, and finally end the glamorization of socialism and communism." National Security Adviser John Bolton on Wednesday announced new restrictions the Trump administration is imposing on travel to Cuba as well as the amount of money Cuban Americans can send to relatives on the island.
He also made it clear this move is part of the Trump administration's efforts to roll back former President Barack Obama's decision to open up travel and economic activities with Cuba.
