York, Edinburgh and even Manchester are among the top destinations for Brits holidaying in the UK
The Lake District has been named the top holiday destination in the UK according to new research. It beat the likes of York, Edinburgh and Liverpool to take the number one spot.
It’s no wonder then that it came in first place on the list, with 37.79 per cent of people heading there, a study by Transpennine Express found. York came second on the list with 19.19per cent of people choosing to holiday there, meanwhile Edinburgh came in third place with 19.06per cent selecting the Scottish capital for a trip away.Manchester actually came in fifth place on the list ahead of Liverpool. The seaside town of Cleethorpes rounded off the list in 10th place.
