says. “For whatever reason, the message that he’s putting out there is not automatically registering with black voters.” Sen. Elizabeth Warren has had similar struggles getting black voters out to her campaign events. But as Wootson says, the two candidates and their campaigns seem to be taking different paths to reach out.
