Netflix unveils a clip from The Witcher season 3 showing Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri kicking ass against Rience and an army of Elves in an epic fight.
The Witcher season 3 clip shows Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri slaying the opposition. Based on the second novel in Andrzej Sapkowski's Witcher Saga titled Time of Contempt, the upcoming season of Netflix's fantasy adaptation finds the many monarchs, mages, and beasts of the Continent competing to capture Ciri while Geralt is determined to protect his newly-reunited family.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Today, during their Tudum 2023 event, Netflix unveiled a new clip from The Witcher season 3 showing Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri kicking some serious ass in an epic fight against Rience , a renegade fire mage hunting the princess of Cintra, and an eventual army of Elves. Watch the clip below:
The clip starts with Ciri showing off her hand-to-hand combat skills by dispatching multiple enemies before Yennefer arrives and says to Rience, "Last time, I beat you with my wits. This time, you meet by magic." Geralt also appears shortly after and gets in on the action. Once more reinforcements arrive, Rience escapes through a portal, but Geralt follows him through and breaks his hands. Once he returns, Geralt must fight off an army of elves who came for Ciri.
The Witcher Season 3 Continues To Showcase Great Action Though Netflix's fantasy adaptation has been criticized for straying too far from its source material at times, which is reportedly the reason why Cavill left the show, The Witcher has consistently showcased great action sequences, especially its medieval-inspired combat. One of the best examples of this is Geralt's Butcher of Blaviken fight from season 1, episode 1, which was filmed at a breakneck pace using long takes.
