Police officers were called to House of Fraser in Nottingham’s Victoria Centre on February 13 after Jason Holden was spotted attempting to steal items from the department store
A Nottingham thief caught trying to raid a department store in the Victoria Centre later stole an elderly woman's car while on bail. .
After placing him in handcuffs, officers searched Holden and found a knife in his pocket. Holden continued his criminal activities while he was on court bail, breaking into an elderly woman's Bestwood home and stealing her car on July 7.He was caught within seven minutes by police in the city centre after driving the wrong way down a one-way road.
Detective Inspector Andy Hall, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “I hope members of the public are reassured by our swift response to both these incidents. We are fully aware of how damaging shoplifting can be for businesses and continue to work with stores and other partners to target those responsible.
