The cash was taken from the memorial room at Tundergarth Church on Friday
Police have launched a probe after money was stolen from a shrine to the victims of the Lockerbie Bombing.
The theft was captured on CCTV and reported to Police Scotland, sparking the investigation into the robbery. Tundergarth Kirks Trust, who work alongside Pan Am 103 Lockerbie Legacy Foundation to preserve the room, has appealed for the money to be returned.The Trust also hopes to raise funds to build a memorial museum on the site.
