Sandgate, near Folkestone, has pushed the popular towns of Whitstable and Margate off the must-visit lists to be named the top trending British seaside destination in the UK. The charming coastal village has seen the biggest rise in Britons searching for holiday homes on Airbnb.Known for its grand houses, far-stretching views of the English Channel and antique shops, restaurants and inns, Sandgate is also home to a long pebble beach frequented by fishermen and picnickers.
