An ITV star choked back tears on This Morning as she discussed the latest headlines. Holly Willoughby and Craig Doyle were hosting the show on Tuesday, September 19, which started at 10am.
Sonia said: "I just think neither the doctors nor government are behaving right here. We need settlement - they need to meet in the middle for the sake of patients."Holly added: "I know somebody whose partner was meant to be having an operation and it got cancelled during one of the last strikes. And then - literally, last week, he had a stroke.
"The problem is when you're watching a loved one go through something like that that potentially could have been avoided had that surgery happened when it was scheduled for the first time. They might be in a completely different situation. He told the PA news agency: "We've had year after year of below-inflation pay cuts and it's reached the stage where we are seeing it affecting recruitment. We're seeing people leaving the NHS and going overseas, it's making it a struggle to continue to provide the service that we know patients need.
