This surfer dude scientist claims he twice foiled an FDA undercover probe into his DIY Covid-19 vaccine:
As the Covid-19 pandemic metastasized across the U.S. in mid-April, a DIY vaccine manufacturer, his customer and her friend met in a Dick’s burger restaurant in Seattle, the city where the pandemic landed in America. Middle-aged, goatied, bespectacled and loquacious on the subject of his possibly-illicit business, microbiologist Johnny Stine was there to offer Angela, with whom he’d been texting over recent months, “groovy” $400 shots he claimed could stop people contracting the deadly virus.
Unflappable, Stine said he could vaccinate Katie’s grandma that coming week, but he was no longer calling it a vaccine because the state AG had told him to stop. “They simply said that I cannot make claims about a ‘vaccine.’ So I just call it an immunogen and that’s it.” But Stine cancelled on Katie. It was the last time they spoke.he had sussed Katie out. She was an undercover agent for the federal government, as was her friend Angela.
But Stine says his comments about doing meth were part of a second ruse. He’d decided he wanted to be in deeper discussions with the FDA about his work and thought making outlandish suggestions to Samantha about using narcotics was the way to do it. “I got tired of being silent and hidden and knowing that they were surveilling me and I just went for it, played along, embellished things like they were doing to me and sprung their trap.
Stine has a mixed scientific and entrepreneurial background, founding his first company, Spaltudaq, in 2005. It raised nearly $30 million in its mission to create targeted cancer drugs with minimal side effects, before changing its name to Theraclone in 2009, according toreports. By 2008, Stine had moved on to create North Coast Biologics, but it was dissolved in 2012, according to Washington government business records.
