A Thornton police officer suffered minor injuries Friday night in a two-vehicle crash with an SUV carrying students. The SUV driver and the students were uninjured, according to theThe crash happened about 8 p.m. Friday at the intersection of East 120th Avenue and Grant Street, according to the CSP.
The police officer was driving westbound on 120th when the driver of a 2011 Chevrolet Suburban, who was heading east on 120th, made a left-turn attempt onto Grant, the CSP said.The Chevrolet, which is owned by the , Monte Vista, had six students, members of the Sargent Senior High School swim team, inside it at the time of the crash, the CSP said.
