PPL Electric’s outages are centered around Lancaster County, where less than 2,000 people are without power as of 12:30 p.m., according to the company’sNearly 3,000 Met Ed customers do not have power Saturday afternoon in south-central Pennsylvania. According to the company’sPower could be restored for PPL customers by 5:30 p.m., the company said. Met Ed does not yet have an estimate of how long their customers won’t have power.
The National Weather Service said up to 5 inches of snow could fall by the time the storm tapers off around 2 p.m. Saturday. Up to 40 mph winds could last through Saturday morning.
