Glasgow City Council has decided on school place numbers for the year ahead.
Three schools in Glasgow had to breach capacity numbers this year to cope with the number of local pupils who wanted to go there.
It is understood housebuilding in the Robroyston area is impacting demand for Smithycroft Secondary and Wallacewell Primary. The council can approve an increase in capacity as long as it doesn't impact the future year pupil intake according to a council paper. The council's education convenor Christina Cannon presented a paper on what next year's capping limits will be for primaries and secondaries in Glasgow at today's city administration committee.
