Tiger Woods and Newcastle chairman Yasir Al-Rumayyan have flown to the Bahamas for peace talks.
Newcastle United chief Yasir Al-Rumayyan and golf legend Tiger Woods could end the feud between the PGA Tour and LIV Golf, as they take a trip to the Bahamas for talks with the Saudi Public Investment Fund and the biggest stars of the PGA Tour.
Moreover, members of the Strategic Sports Group - including Liverpool's owners, Fenway Sports Group who have secured a $1.5bn investment in the PGA Tour - are also present in Nassau. It's believed that the meeting is taking place at the Albany Resort where Woods arranges his yearly Hero World Challenge tournament.
LIV Golf signed Jon Rahm, the Masters champion, in December during the negotiations. It still needs to be decided how LIV players could come back to the PGA Tour, how the loyal PGA Tour players will be thanked for not leaving, and how LIV Golf will fit into any new golfing calendar. He also said that these peace talks should have started earlier. "I think it should have happened months ago, so I am glad that it's happening. Hopefully that progresses conversations and gets us closer to a solution," McIlroy said at Sawgrass.
