'I've been so inspired lately, just feeling so free.'
After more than a year of "going through a lot of changes," the pop/R&B singer took to social media Saturday to give fans an update on what she's been up to lately. In the clip, Tinashe admits that she's been "quiet for a minute" while working on new music, but that she's recently felt inspired and "feeling so free.
Tinashe goes on to reject people who have tried to put her musical style into a box and limit her potential as an artist. "Music and art are supposed to be these wonderful beautiful things that bring people joy and happiness, and that's really why I started making music in the first place -- to give people something that means something to them," the singer says.
Tinashe didn't comment any further on when fans might expect to hear some new tunes. Watch the full video below.
