It was a nervy night after the visitors went two goals ahead but Philippe Clement's men fought back from the dead and it's over to Celtic now.

Rangers recovered from two goals down at rain-lashed Ibrox to beat Dundee 5-2 and ensure Celtic will have to work for the point they need to clinch the Scottish Premiership title.

Philippe Clement made five changes from the derby defeat with Cantwell among those who came back in after his surprise omission for Parkhead and it was up to him and others to try and lift a sparse crowd who turned up on a grey night that resembled the mood after the derby defeat. Ridvan Yilmaz, who came in for Borna Barisic at left back, was the first to try his luck with an effort from distance beaten away by Jon McCracken.

Cyriel Dessers went down after Ryan Astley appeared to push the striker in the back but referee Matthew MacDermid was having none of it, and VAR Andrew Dallas didn’t spot anything worthy of a spot kick. Rangers came closest after quarter of an hour when Dessers fed Fabio Silva who was clean through but the on-loan Wolves man saw his shot rattle the crossbar. Ross McCausland then capitalised on sloppy play to drive at goal just after the half hour but his shot was tipped over.

The players left to a chorus of boos as Ibrox threatened to turn toxic but they drew level seven minutes after the break. Cantwell was the provider as he whipped in a cross from the left and Dessers was on hand to head home the leveller before Cantwell completed the turnaround with a cross-cum-shot that looped over the head of McCracken and into the net. McCracken was a busy man and pulled off a stunner to deny Dessers but he was left with little chance as Wright bagged a late brace.
