Tom Davies left Everton due to his desire for 'regular first team football'
The midfielder has been without a club since deciding to reject the offer of a new contract at Everton in favour of seeking regular first-team football back in June. Davies did not start a match last season under Sean Dyche.
Davies joined Everton at the age of 11 and became the youngest captain in the club’s history at 20 years and 60 days. He went on to make 179 appearances, scoring seven goals, during his time at Goodison Park. “As a lifelong Evertonian and proud Scouser, Tom has always given everything for the club. We respect his decision and thank him for his service and commitment. Everyone at Everton wishes him the very best for the future.”
