Streets and roads quickly became flooded after the severe rain fall. This led to warnings for road users over increased surface water during the downpour.Dramatic footage shared by a former councillor on Twitter showed water gushing through the ceiling of a busy supermarket. Richard Critchley shared the footage online from the Sainsbury's Salford Superstore on Regent Road, causing some flooding in the store.
