Toyota Won’t Hit Planned Production Numbers in 2022
• Toyota makes it official: It is reducing production targets for its fiscal year ending March 2023.
For the world's largest automaker in terms of sales, this is obviously not fantastic news, even though it’s not exactly a surprise. Toyota had planned to manufacture 9.7 million vehicles in fiscal 2022-2023. The company did not specify how much lower it expected production to be. Toyota had said it wanted to assemble 900,000 vehicles per month between September and November. This is not going to happen. Instead, 800,000 vehicles will be built in November.
