Action News Jax’s First Alert Weather Team is actively tracking Tropical Storm Idalia and its potential impacts on Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia.
Idalia has upgraded to a Category 1 hurricane.Tropical Storm Warning in effect for all other counties in Northeast Florida
Impacts expected for all of Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia area centered on Wednesday. Chief Meteorologist Mike Buresh says to expect wind, isolated tornadoes, heavy rain and some flooding. A Hurricane WARNING is in effect for the Cuban province Pinar del Rio and the middle of Longboat Key northward to Indian Pass, including Tampa Bay.
