Isla Bryson from Clydebank was found guilty at the High Court in Glasgow after a six day trial.
A transgender woman has been found guilty of raping two women when she was a man. Isla Bryson, from Clydebank, West Dunbartonshire, committed the crimes before she transitioned to female and when she was known by the "dead name" Adam Graham.
Addressing Bryson in the dock on Tuesday, judge Lord Scott said: "You have been convicted by the jury of two extremely serious charges; those being charges of rape." He told her the crimes are "considerable" and that "a significant sentence is inevitable". Top news stories today "All I said was 'no' over and over and over again," she said. "At the time I was so scared. Sick to the stomach. I just didn't know what was going on."
The victim said her pyjama bottoms were removed by Bryson, who performed a sex act which she consented to, but then she asked Bryson to stop.
