Two people were killed in a Park Ridge crash, the police department said. The car crashed into a home on Oakton Street.
Neighbors said the home the car crashed into is vacant. They said no one has lived there for a couple years now.Police said it was just after 11 a.m. Tuesday when the Honda sedan was heading southbound on Cumberland approaching Oakton.There were two people inside the sedan. Police said both of them were pronounced dead on the scene."It was very traumatizing and scary," said Daniel, a neighbor. "Craziest thing I've ever seen in my life.
Neighbors saw smoke coming from the home and immediately called police. Oakton Street was blocked off for hours as the investigation continued, but has since reopened. So no other injuries were reported aside of the two people who died in the sedan. ABC7 is waiting for more details about those victims.
