U.S. government debt prices were lower Tuesday morning as investors hoped for a resumption of bipartisan talks over a new coronavirus relief bill, while tensions between the U.S. and China remained on the radar.

Tuesday will see auctions held for $34 billion of 52-week bills, $30 billion of 119-day bills, $30 billion of 42-day bills and $48 billion of 3-year notes, with large offerings of 10- and 30-year Treasurys scheduled later in the week.
