ORLANDO, Fla. — Cole Anthony scored 23 points off the bench, Franz Wagner added 21, and the Magic pulled away in the fourth quarter with a barrage of 3-pointers to pound the Spurs 133-113 Friday night in a clash of teams eyeing the lottery.
The Magic blew open a tight game — they led by just five at the end of three periods — with a 21-7 run to start the fourth that included a 3-pointer by Texas alumnus Mo Bamba that gave them a 102-93 lead with 10:15 left. Keldon Johnson returned from a hamstring injury that forced him to miss two games in a row to lead the Spurs with 17 points on an inefficient 5-of -4. Tre Jones chipped in 16 points on 7 of 10 shooting, including 2-of-2 from beyond the arc.
