The HOV lane is purposed for two or more people riding in a vehicle and is not to be used as a passing lane, law enforcement said.
Kennett said that during toll lane peak hours, three or more people may be required to be in a vehicle while in the HOV lane.
6 Motorcycle Troopers in Sno County stopped 82 HOV violators in only 2.5 hours this morning. 1st time offenders will receive a $189 infraction. 2nd offense will cost $339. HOV lane is for 2 or more people and not a passing lane. Toll lane peak hours may require 3 or more.
