Troy Kotsur has officially signed to star in Disney+'s untitled series about a deaf high school football team, based on a real-life story.
brings word that Troy Kotsur has finally found his next project in the form of an untitled Disney+ series. Kotsur will be playing the coach of a deaf high school football team in the streamer’s next coming-of-age sports series, which will be based on a real-life football team from a California School for the Deaf.
The series will depict the team’s historical undefeated season and how it earned a spot in the California State Championship game for the first time in school history.co-star Marlee Matlin. The studio partners with the California School of the Deaf and the California Department of Education.It will be written and executive produced by Ben and Ron Shelton, with Kevin Falls serving as the showrunner.
